Sitting on top of Discovery Melbourne is one of the biggest rooftops in the city! It’s equipped with BBQ’s, picnic tables and sun lounges and is the ideal place to chill out, cook a BBQ or kick a footy, all while you soak up the amazing views of Melbourne!

Beanbag Cinema

Kick back & relax

Go to the movies without leaving the building! We have our very own cinema filled with bean bags and huge sound that seats up to 50 people! We’ll have movies starting at 11am & 2pm everyday. If the cinema’s free you can choose from a selection of new releases or old classics on DVD’s for free from reception or bring your USB or hard-drive.

We’ve got cheap drinks with shots from $5 and Jugs from $10. There’s always delicious cocktails to try and great beer to test out. We understand travelers are on a tight budget so you can cook your own meals in our guest kitchen from 6am – 11pm. We have plenty of supermarkets close by plus the famous Queen Victoria Market! Make use of our microwaves, stoves and ovens.

We have lots of spaces for you to either chill out or meet new people! Soak up the atmosphere in our lobby and reception area in the comfy lounges or watch TV in the more chilled out back lounge after cooking up a storm in the kitchen next door.

We’ve got the essentials like unlimited Wifi, full laundry facilities and secure lockers for your gear as well as some awesome extras like an in-house masseur and travel agency in our lobby. You can even complete your RSA course during your stay.

Stay Connected

We know how important keeping in touch with friends and family is. We have computers in our Internet Kiosk and fast Wi-Fi available with unlimited downloads and data, just pay by the day. Cost is $5 a day, $10 for 3 days and $15 for a week.

Lockers

Safety & Security Is Key

Keep your valuables safe in our e-lockers or bring your own lock to use the smaller lockers in every dorm. We are more than happy to store your passport for you if you are an extra cautious traveler. $8 for 12 hours or $12 for 24 hours.

Laundry

Squeaky Clean

At some stage you’ll probably need to do a load of washing or to iron your shirt before that big job interview. Our laundry room is equipped with great quality washing machines, dryers and an ironing board. Washing is $4 per load and dryers $3 per 15 mins.
