Where do I book my reservation online?

Is reception open 24 hours?
Yes. We always have staff on hand to help you out or answer your call, no matter what time of day or night.

What time is Check-in and Check-out?
Your room will be ready from 2pm and we ask that you are checked out by 10am.

I’m arriving before the 2pm check-in time. Where can I store my bags in the mean time?
There are lockers downstairs from reception where you can safely store your bags if you leave the building. They are $8 for 12 hours or $12 for 24 hours.

Do you have a free shuttle back to the airport?
No, but there are plenty of cheap options to get to the airport. Take a look here.

How do I get to and from Southern Cross station?
You can find directions here.

Is linen included?
Yes, all your linen is provided. Pillow and pillow case, sheets and doona (douvet). We don’t allow you to bring your own linen or sleeping bags as this can cause an outbreak in bed bugs.

Are towels included?
No, but you can hire them from reception for $5 with an extra $5 deposit.

Do you have FREE Wi-Fi?
No, however we do have wi-fi available at a cost. We operate our Wi-fi through Global Gossips, which is $5 per day, $10 for 3 days or $15 for a week (unlimited connection and download with your time period) It’s available throughout the whole building.

Do you have lockers?
There are small lockers available in all rooms, with larger lockers downstairs from reception for an extra cost. They are $8 for 12 hours or $12 for 24 hours. We can also store your passport in our safe for extra security.

I’m going on an over night tour, can I store my bulky luggage with Discovery until I return?
Yes, if you have a reservation to come back you can leave one bag for up to two days.

What are the opening hours of the QVM?
Closed Mon and Wed. Tues & Thur 6am-2pm, Fri 6am – 5pm, Sat 6am – 3pm, Sun 9am – 4pm.

What happens if I want to cancel my booking?
If you cancel your booking you will be charged a fee equal to the cost of your first nights’ accommodation and we will refund the rest of your stay. Please note the WEEKLY RATE can not be refunded.

What are your house rules?
• NO BYO Alcohol – we have a bar downstairs so our liquor license restricts you from bringing in external alcohol.
• NO SMOKING INSIDE – there are three spaces provided where you are allowed to smoke, out the front of the building, in the smoking are at the bar and on the roof top.
• $10 FEE for lost or damaged room keys.
• Be respectful to your room mates and keep your bunk area clean.
• Management reserves the right to refuse and evict guests who don’t comply with our rules or behave in an inappropriate and anti social behaviour.
